Amazon Ads Optimization

Amazon Ads Optimization

To understand the optimization process of the website Amazon, really important to 'get' the whole idea of the site and how there are vast differences between Amazon and search engines like Google.  Granted, there are many similarities.  However, the intent of Amazon is to probably, just make money...hehe.  But, on a more user friendly, perhaps, serious note, is to deliver goods and services to their customers in a timely, efficient, cost effective and friendly manner.

Starting out as the 'world's greatest book seller' and turning to goods to increase reach and service offerings, Amazon now has a 'Global Reach'.  Impressive.  Sidenote:  think my Uncle Ernesto Romero presided over the founder, Jeff Bezo's parents divorce case in Bernanillo county, New Mexico.  Oh well, a portion of my family's line, is perhaps, related to Jeff's in some strange way.  (a tiny bit spanish jew from Seville, Spain and my, now passed away grandfather Manny Romero having a Cuban ranch had that he kept around).  I'm still awaiting that family inheritance...

Errr, that's not important to you, probably, just a bit of comic relief...

Back to Amazon's 'Organic ranking schemata'.  Amazon seems to be deploying some sort of combination of reviews, combined with buyers to place goods & services into a somewhat separate category than with products and services without.  Then has some sort of algorithm that rotates the most appealing products and services higher up on the page, without being overly 'harsh' to products and services that simply don't entice visitors to buy as much.  In other words, most of Amazon users, when typing in products and services, will end up buying the product or service off the site, if that was their orignal intent.  The sites 'bounce' from non-enticing ads doesn't seem to be as relevant.  There's a bit of a 'catch 22' with attempting to optimize (from Amazon's point of view) the ads in connection with users, in other words.  at some inflextion point, if Amazon's organic ranking system doesn't fairly servce (at least in Amazon's opinion) 'bad or poorly marketed' webstores, that will ultimately affect, the number of publishers and new publishers from entering into the marketplace.  Unless, of course, they pay a slight bit for Amazon ads, however, most 'Amazon shoppers' don't scroll more than a few hundred products or services. (at most, for Google Search, seemingly much less scrolling so more important to rank higher)

Do we (at AutomationAnytime) have a way to optimize the organic rankings?

Do you have to pay for Amazon ads?

Amazon Ads charges for the number of clicks or viewable impressions you receive on your ads. We charge you each time you accumulate a certain number of clicks, this is what we call the credit limit. Your credit limit begins at $50 and increases each time you reach your credit limit and you make a successful payment.

If you’re brand new to Amazon Ads, and are a registered seller or vendor who sells products on Amazon, we recommend you begin with sponsored ads. These ad solutions are easy to set up and they are designed to work with different levels of budgets. Best of all, these ad types are cost-per-click – which means that you only pay when a shopper clicks on your ad. When you create a sponsored ads campaign, you choose your own budget as well as the amount you want to bid for a click. If you’re interested in using Amazon Ads to promote products or services that you do not sell on Amazon, we offer display ads, video ads, and custom ads.
