Automation Anytime Log Moving Apparatus : Komatsu and CAT?

Caterpillar, Komatsu and a few other earth (and other stuff) moving machine companies have been in business for a while.

Some incredible companies where acquired, etc by these BIG brands along the way.  An example might be a brand similar to JOY Global in 2016.

In a similar way that a valid question of, can 1 individual or person think of every design modification along the way?  Does 1 person really have enough time, energy, resources, etc. to reach maximum and optimal processes?  Probably not.

In other words, various design, modifications and pending inventions to various apparatuses offers some, perhaps, interesting innovation, revenue opportunities, investment and additional workforce positions.

Does Komatsu, CAT and various companies compete in several industries for the same business?

A simple example MIGHT be a company like Weyerhaeuser Lumber (my grandfather Hugh Spencer Graham was an official business partner with the founder's son, David Weyerhaeuser, a few generations ago in Washington state, etc.)

There may be some meagerly useful ways to successfully move heavy timber and lumber with some Pending Inventions, Designs and Modifications of Automation Anytime.
