What was the #1 business before modern civilization?

Believe or not, there has been many changes and modifications since early historical days in all kinds of things, nevertheless, religion was "up there" in importance.  Perhaps, some historians would say the #1 business throughout history was religion.

In other words, volumes upon volumes of business theory, is mostly originated, centered and prolific throught the learning framework of religions.

Now, there is like a bunch of religions with subsets of beliefs.  Some known, much unknown.

In the opinion of Automation Anytime Business Theory, there are some overt and sometimes meager correlations between business and religion.  What can be learned and who has the knowledge, capacity and capability to put you and/or your team on the "optimal path" to successful learning?
